Eating Bran to Eliminate Constipation
by: Rudy Silva
One reason many people are constipated is they don’t eat a lot of fiber. Most people only eat about 8 mg of fiber per day. To have good health and have good elimination, you need around 30- 35 mg of fiber.
Eating bran is one of the quickest and best ways to increase your fiber. It will increase the weight and size of your stools more than the fiber contained in fruits or vegetables. Bran is the outer husk of the grain - wheat, corn, rice, and oat - which is indigestible.
It does not irritate the lining of the stomach, small intestine or your colon. It is not a laxative but promotes the movement fecal matter through your colon in a natural way. Unlike drugstore laxatives or other natural strong laxatives, bran does not quickly purge out all the contents in your colon.
Use one or two heaping tablespoon of bran in your morning cereal, in your baking, and in your smoothies.
Health Alert: When using bran, make sure you drink plenty of water during the day to keep your stools soft.
Bye Bye Holidays and Holiday Eating

Bye Bye Holidays
Hoping everyone had a fun, fantastic, exciting and relaxing mix of Holiday eventfulness or lack thereof. Whatever it was that you did, that it most suited your moods and needs. Since the holidays were shortened into one compact week, Saturday to the next weeks Sunday, there was no time to languish. You had to seize that holiday time with both hands and feet to get the most out of it.
Holidays for me mean visiting family, since they live in another country (Canada) this is only a biannual event and therefore more meaningful. I have to inhale everyone to their essence and then painfully let go. Because it’s a large family it takes concentration and a lot of energy, especially because there are a growing number of children and I certainly don’t want to miss any of the details of their development. I also want them to remember me meaningfully until the next time I see them in six months. Holiday shopping helps.

Learn how hidden bacteria in teeth cause side effects that can endanger your life. Discover how germs trapped in teeth and tonsils mutate and metastasize like cancer cells and how these bacteria migrate to heart, kidney, eyes, brain, arthritic joints and countless other body tissues. This article is part of Dr. George Meinig’s, DDS, FACD, research information of the extensive and investigative research of Dr. Weston Price’s DDS, FACD, research work.

October 21, 2008
When you go to work, your diabetes goes with you.
You get up, get showered, get breakfast, get to work. You have bills, therefore you have a job.
But you also have diabetes. You have to care for your diabetes while you’re at work. Here are 10 tips for merging your diabetes care with your career.
1. Wear medical identification jewelry
- If you ever need medical assistance at work, the emergency medical personnel will know you have diabetes.
2. Decide who to tell
- All things being equal, it might be in your best interest to let a few trusted co-workers or your boss know. Just for your own safety.
3. Give your co-workers a chance
- Don’t just assume that your boss won’t accommodate you, or that your co-workers won’t be helpful. Give them a chance to grasp what diabetes is and understand how they can help you, particularly if you’ve been diagnosed since starting your current job. Diabetes may be as new to them as it is to you.

How To Lose Weight Easily, Quickly And Naturally Program - Natural Weight Loss
by: Chris Chew
It is easy to lose weight quickly and naturally if you have a systematic weight loss program. Many people failed to lose weight successfully because of the natural tendency to choose easy quick fix programs such as going on drastic diets, popping diet pills or persuaded to buy some exercise gadgets that simply do not work. In my other articles, I have addressed these issues and why such easy quick fix programs simply do not work in the long term and will not repeat them here.
To lose weight quickly, naturally and easily, you have to combine a healthy eating habit, correct cardio and strengthening exercises. We shall touch on the subject of how to lose weight quickly and naturally through a healthy eating program in this article.
• Increase Your Metabolism - Eat 5-6 small meals daily. It has been scientifically proven that by eating frequently, you will raise your body’s natural metabolism. That means your body will burn more fat naturally. You become a fat burning machine all day long.

It might be of interest that the wall Street Journal, on the morning of my typing this page, reported that one year ago a small group of Scientists had met and exchanged data on the first drugs discovered by major pharmaceutical companies to arrest the AIDS virus. Their euphoria was blown just six months later when they found the AIDS virus wasn’t being controlled but was mutating, and in its new form the infection was able to begin all over again.
The article went on to say that because of the organisms’ ability to adjust and change, scientists now feel it may be a long time, if ever, before there is a cure for AIDS. Isn’t it interesting that so long ago Dr. Price found bacteria trapped inside of teeth were doing the very same thing?
In the case of mutating streptococci germs or other bacteria housing themselves in dentin tubules, the obvious question is: “So what; how can they escape?”

How Does LASIK Eye Surgery Work? Keratomileusis - The Carving Of The Cornea
by: Nicola Kennedy
At present, LASIK or “Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis” is the only commonly performed keratomileusis procedure. Keratomileusis involves an altering of the shape of the corneal tissue with the aid of an excimer laser, which is a powerful ultraviolet laser. This laser eye surgery is performed by ophthalmologists in order to correct different types of vision impairment. LASIK is the preferred treatment for patients with refractive error, since the procedure entails rapid recovery and minimal pain overall.
LASIK surgery leverages technology to its fullest. For instance, a computer system tracks the patient’s eye position 4,000 times per second, while the lasers make the desired incisions. It might sound like a dangerous procedure, but it’s time to debunk this myth. LASIK surgery is a completely safe procedure performed with high precision. That is, the laser carves the corneal tissue in a finely controlled manner. LASIK surgery is not that cumbersome when compared with other types of eye surgery, and has a relatively low frequency of complications.

Detoxing The Natural Way
by: Steve Joseph
Why detox you ask? Well for thousands of years man has known that detoxifying the body is a useful means of restoring both mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing. The original way to detox the body was to simply go without food. In Western culture, most are familiar with the biblical recount of Jesus spending forty days and nights in the desert fasting. This theme of fasting for mental and spiritual clarity is quite pronounced throughout the bible, but in more recent times the principle has been adapted and refined. In fact many now argue that due to the environmental conditions that humans now exist in, the old ways simply aren’t enough.
Today we have a range of produts, diets and information available to assist us with removing the toxins from our body. More information about detox diets is available at http://www.detox247.com/ . Some detox programs still rely on simply water and fasting, while others outline specific diets which tend to be mostly raw food. Basically the aim of any detox program is not for the food, or lack there of to do the work, but to engineer an environment for the body to undertake its natural processes of healing. When we detox, what we are trying to do is stop cramming toxins into our body, which in turn allows the body to start booting out the accumulated junk. Think of it as a spring clean for the body.
Nutrition Secrets Never Before Revealed
October 16, 2008
The topic of nutrition is one that is always present in our lives no matter where we turn. It’s on the news, magazine articles, at school, at your doctor’s office, and even is a major topic for many books.
Over the years, there have been many ideas presented how to structure your diet so you ensure a good state of health. The RDA established by the government recommends certain percentages of nutrients that are claimed to be a healthy standard for all people in this country.
Now you have many scientists and researchers stating that the RDA standards are too low and need to be revised to reflect higher percentages of nutrients. There are other scientists and doctors that claim based on your body type, you should only eat certain types of foods while avoiding others.
Many health officials advise the public to limit total fat intake to a low percentage of their total daily calories. There are other groups that claim eating a good portion of fat in the diet is actually healthy. So, who is right and what constitutes eating healthy?

How Lemon Juice Power Gives You Asthma Relief
by: Rudy Silva
If you just found out you have asthma or are a long time asthma sufferer, here’s step one to start off on your natural remedy lifestyle to reducing and controlling your asthma.
Use of lemon juice has been found to have tremendous benefits in the body and of course for stopping and controlling asthma attacks.
So, step one is to use lemon juice every morning. Forget about the idea that lemon juice is acid and is bad for you if you have arthritis. Yes, lemon juice can cut into and breakup oil. But, when it enters the body as an acid, it ends up as alkaline residue after your cells use it up. Besides if you aren’t eating enough oils such as olive and fish oils this can contribute to the lack of oil to lubricate your joints and anti-inflammatory chemicals and this can accelerate the deterioration of your joint cartilage.
Step one for fighting back if you have asthma
